Good Morning, Mama’s!!!
Well I’m a little bit late, but i figure better late than never right? So on Sunday I started my TurboFire schedule. Technically the schedule starts on a Monday but I just couldn’t wait to start getting fit! So even though I started on Sunday, Monday will be my Day 1. I decided to document this fitness journey here in GAM. I guess I already have been but I am definitely going to keep up with it this time. I need more accountability. Hopefully this will help to keep me on track and to help me to stop making excuses. I know some of you probably know exactly what I mean. You know, when you get to that 5th or 6th day and you start to reason with the insanity in your head. “Oh its OK if you skip today’s workout, you’ve been working out X amount of days in a row and deserve a day off. You don’t want to injure yourself, do you?” lol I know I am guilty of this! So I figure if I report to you guys then my willpower might not be broken so easily. I took my measurements as well and before pictures. This way I can compare in a few weeks and see if I am getting results. Beachbody also has a contest you can enter and win money for the most amazing transformation. I was like, WHAT! Get paid to lose weight?!?! I can do that!!! Just more motivation for me to stick with this. To achieve the body that I want. To feel good about myself AND my body. TO WIN!!! 😛
Measurements and Before Pic’s
Day 1 & 2
So The first day of working out I did the FireStarter workout video which was 40 minutes long. I drank a vegan pre-workout drink before hand. It says it gives you energy and focus so I thought that I couldn’t lose with that. Who couldn’t use a little extra energy. It was berry flavored and the first day I hated it. I had to force it down. The packaging said to wait 20 minutes before workout which I did and it really did give me a boost of energy. At least it felt like it to me! I was actually kinda scared to start the new program. I hadn’t done TurboFire in about 4 or 5 years. When I did it for the first time I was 180 lbs which is 40 lbs less than I am now. (That was really hard just to type!) At the beginning of this year I did the TurboJam schedule. That was my first time working out in years and the schedule started me out doing 20 minute workouts which was great cause those 20 minutes felt like the longest 20 minutes ever! After that 2 month schedule I would still workout but just not as faithfully as I was when I was following the schedule. I definitely fell of track during the summer due to vacations and all the summer fun and good food. I actually was supposed to start this schedule 3 weeks ago but due to a last minute trip to California and then this last weekend we went to New Jersey to visit family, that just didn’t happen as planned. I did however purchase a 6 month membership to Beachbody On Demand. They have sooooooo many workout videos, it will blow your mind! Well now that all my trips are done, it was time to get back on track. As I was saying (Before my AADD kicked in! lol), I was really worried that I might have gotten to out of shape again from slacking on my workouts. I don’t think I’ve worked out in about 3 weeks. So Sunday I drank my pre-workout drink and prepared for the worst, but as it turns out it wasn’t the worst! I actually did great considering. On Monday I felt all my muscles but in a good way. I thought I would be sore and unable to function properly like when I tried the Booty Lifting Workout on Amazon Prime last month that made sitting on the toilet the next day feel like torture! lol When I worked out on Monday, I felt great! I had very high energy. I don’t know if it was me or the pre-workout drink but it was good.
My after workout glow! <3
I am a little weary of today’s workout. It is a HIIT workout. HIIT meaning: High Intensity Interval Training. You workout at a regular pace then you do the same workout but at a much faster pace and with more intensity. I’m sure I can do it but it’s still a little daunting. I’ve included some picture of what I ate Sunday and Monday. I’m not much of a breakfast person but I plan on trying to incorporate some breakfast back into my diet this week. Well that’s it until tomorrow, folks!
Enjoy this beautiful day, Mama’s!!!
Broccoli and Baked Potato (I love vegan butter 🙂
Veggies and Mashed Potatoes
Tortilla and veggies baked
Cabbage and Sweet Potatoes
Garden Of Life Pre-Workout drink and vitamins (B12 is very important if you are vegan. I didn’t take it for like the first 6 months of being vegan and I was so tired all of the time. I was very stubborn! lol Now that I take it everyday I have way more energy.)
